Two cops shot and killed a Bronx man yesterday during a dispute over a car accident in Washington Heights, police said.
Santos Quevas, 19, of West 238th Street, was killed about 12:45 a.m. Cops say he shot at officers John Galasso and Michael Callahan, both of whom returned fire. The two cops had gone to Audubon Avenue, between 172nd and 173rd streets, after hearing gunshots. Quevas had fired five shots at another man in a dispute that followed a car accident, police said.The driver of the other car fled the scene when Quevas fired at him, cops said. Both officers remain on duty, but the shooting will be Investigated.
